Eye Street Presents at Localization Conference
CHANTILLY, VA - December 6, 2007 - Eye Street Software Corporation presented a case study in managing translation at the 2007 Localization Thought Leader Forum - Best Practices in Multilingual Communication. The conference, held in Boulder, CO December 5-7, allowed attendees to share techniques and best practices in localization and globalization.
Rich Alberth, an Eye Street Engineering Project Manager, presented Faster, Cheaper, Happier, Better: A Case Study in Actively Managing Localization for .NET Development. In the case study Rich discusses the pitfalls encountered and lessons learned by Eye Street while developing a global logistics management solution for a leading humanitarian releif organization, and how those pitfalls can be avoided on similar projects. Also included in the presentation is a demonstration of the custom translation management tool 'Translation Director'. This tool, which includes reports for localization costing and forecasting, was developed by Eye Street to provide project managers with visibility into, and control of, the localization aspects of .NET application development.
